Virtual (video) counseling

The Washington Post’s suite of benefits includes free, virtual (video) counseling for all eligible participants based out of any location. Participants may schedule confidential, virtual (video) sessions with a licensed clinician to address common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, preventing burnout, building resilience, relationship issues and alcohol or substance use concerns.


Meet your counselors

Dr. Sadiqa Long (VIRTUAL ONLY) , LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Washington, DC and Virginia, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland, and a National Certified Counselor. She uses a client-centered, reality therapy, and cognitive-behavioral approach to treatment. Dr. Long has worked in the counseling profession for more than ten years with children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Long has supported clients experiencing anger, trauma, stress, substance use, and relationship issues. Her expertise is supporting clients diagnosed with PTSD, anxiety disorders, ADHD, sexual abuse, mood disorders, and dual diagnosis. Dr. Long’s goal is to help you manage your problems by creating a safe, therapeutic environment with respect for your values and worldview.

Tanya Bryant-Nickens, LCSW-C, CEAP (VIRTUAL ONLY), has worked for more than 12 years as a licensed therapist and is now a Certified Employee Assistance Professional. She has worked with adults, children and families who have experienced trauma, from the homicide of a loved one to domestic and workplace violence, substance use disorders, job dissatisfaction and relationship and marital issues. Ms. Bryant-Nickens now serves adult clients in her private practice, where she provides employee assistance services and therapy interventions for adult individuals and families. She also provides services to mental health providers, entrepreneurs, law enforcement personnel, first responders, military veterans, engineers, physicians and federal, state and municipal employees.
